Thrombolytic effects of Naoxintong capsule on rats of focal embolic stroke
Background:Thrombosis is a complicated process and directly involved in stroke.As a traditional Chinese medicine,Naoxintong capsule has been widely used for cardio-cerebrovascular disease treatment.Methods:To investigate the antithrombotic effects of Naoxintong capsule,homological blood clot emboli were used to establish a focal embolic stroke model.The low,middle and high doses of Naoxintong groups were set,and a comparison with aspirin control group was conducted.Results:Experimental results showed that Naoxintong capsule significantly inhibit platelet aggregation,together prolongs thrombin time,prothrombin timeactivated,partial thromboplastin time and reduces fibrinogen content.Concomitantly,Naoxintong capsule can down-regulate the expression of thromboxane A2 mRNA and up-regulate the expression of prostaglandin E2 mRNA.Moreover,a positive influence on pharmacodynamic indicators related to thrombosis such as 5-serotonin,adenosine monophosphate and platelet α-granule membrane protein was demonstrated.Conclusion:Naoxintong capsule has the function of promoting blood circulation,which suggests a therapeutic effect on cerebral thrombosis disease.
