Research and Application of Pumping Multi-cluster Perforatingand Plug Technology in Upturned Well
As some shale gas horizontal wells are upturned because of formation dip angle, there is a lot of risks in pumping multi-cluster perforating and plug joint operation.According to the eccentric annular clearance flow theory, safe pumping displacements are calculated under conditions of multi-cluster perforating and unidirectional flow plug or large I.D.plug operation in different well deviations.Finite element analysis of pumping model is taken with ANSYS-Fluent.Dynamic response of perforating string in upturned well under perforating shock is analyzed with LS-DYNA.A technology of pumping multi-cluster perforating and plug joint operation is formed.Applications show this technology can effectively prevent backward slipping during setting plug and perforating in upturned well, avoiding engineering complexities such as cable damage and cutting cable.
