When polymers meet liquid crystals for smart materials

Polymers and liquid crystals are the two essential soft matters.We have introduced the thermotropic phases of liquid crystals into the lyotropic structures of amphiphilic block copolymers with the aim of producing smart nanostructures.In this talk,liquid crystal polymer vesicles will be highlighted and their potential applications in controlled release discussed.1.
