Study on Resource Utilization of the Ceramic Shell Waste in Investment Casting

  According to the demands of investment casting enterprises to improve economic benefit during recycling ceramic shell waste.A process scheme about resource utilization of the ceramic shell waste was suggested: Separate the valuable refractory materials (such as zircon sand) from the waste first, then utilize comprehensively the rest.By doing this, total value of the waste may be improved.A series of experiments were designed to investigate the feasibility of getting refractory materials from the waste based on the analysis of microstructure of the waste and separating process.The results showed that: the characteristics of microstructure accord the conditions of separating refractory materials preferentially, the zircon sand can be separated by gravity separation with shaking table, which the shape is good, the purity is high, and it can be used as many ways.This scheme will supply an effective way of recycling ceramic shell waste.
