Effect of Tube Bending Technology on Thickness Reduction of an Automobile Subframe
Automobile subframe has traditionally focused on the thinning problem,even lead to crack.Thickness reduction of parts after tube bending,would impact on quality of preforming and hydroforming procedure.In this paper,the tube bending process for an automobile subframe was analyzed and designed by a finite element method (FEM) program.Effect of tube bending technology on thickness reduction of an automobile subframe has been studied,some improvement methods have been promoted,and they are benefit to manufacture.
