FBAR Oscillator with Temperature Compensation
Film Bulk Acoustic Resonator (FBAR), with its outstanding performance of high working frequency, high Q factor and small size, now is widely used in mobile communication. A simple technique is developed to compensate the frequency shift of FBAR, which can reduce the TCF of FBAR from -31.5ppm/℃ to a level less than 5.6ppm/℃. Also, an FBAR Oscillator with cross-couple structrue, whose resonant tank is constructed by the temperature compensated FBAR, is proposed in this paper,. The results show that the oscillator operates at 1.8 GHz biased by a supply voltage of 1.8V with a phase noise of -107dBc@100kHz.
