Research of a Security Mechanism Based on Wireless Sensor Network and GIS

Due to the vulnerable network and the sensitive data, security plays an especially important role for the application of the wireless sensor network (WSN). However, traditional wireless networking security solutions are not available due to their processing requirements, power consumption, speed and communications overhead. Geographic Information System (GIS) can locate, manage, and presents data or location by coordinate information. GIS-based applications are tools that allow users to create interactive queries, analyze and show the spatial information on maps. We overview the threats existing schemes for the cross-layer design of WSN security and propose some new security architecture based on GIS and security protocol for IEEE 802.15.4 based WSN. Furthermore, we design and implement the security communication services.
