A Novel Approach for Evaluating Cotton Fabric Strength Damage Caused by Bleaches during Laundering

摘要：

This paper focuses on the application of a novel approach for evaluating fabric strength damage caused by bleaches during laundering. The tensile strength,copper number as well as the dyeing properties of the fabrics were investigated to characterize the property changes after laundering. Moreover,the relationships between tensile strength loss and color depth of cotton fabrics were further studied. The results showed that dyeing can reflect the dyeing properties changes of cotton fiber after bleaching laundering. The chemical damage of cotton fabrics after bleaching laundering can be evaluated effectively with dyeing method.
