Research of Compressional Resilience of Wool Fiber Assembly
Compressional behavior is one of the important mechanical behaviors of textiles. It affects the performances of textiles. Through one-way compressing the fibers, the compressional resilience of wool fiber assembly has been investigated which was compared with that of cashmere, acrylic, goose down and kapok. The compressional resilience characteristic curves were characterized and the eigenvalues were extracted. It showed that the compressive curves and resilience curves werent superposable for the viscoelasticity of fibers. For various fiber assemblies, the form of their compressive curves and resilience curves were distinguishing. It connected with the fiber morphological structures and fiber characteristic.
