ELECTRONIC FUSE FOR 125MM HE TANK AMMUNITION
The prospects of creating a time fuse for HE tank projectile have been presented in this paper. Until recently the possibilities were limited by the mechanical resistance of the classic electronic systems and their precision of action. This situation was changed by the appearance of MEMS type oscillators on the market. Their parameters allowed to design and manufacture the model of a time fuse for 125mm OF-19 HE tank projectile. The introductory laboratory and field tests, including firing 125mM tank gun, gave positive results. Since the tank gun firing is the most demanding for a fuse, the tests confirmed the purposeful ness of MEMS use in the time fuses for tank ammunition and the possibility to apply them also in this kind of fuses for other types of artillery.
