Alternate Assemblies of Polyelectrolyte Functionalized Carbon Nanotubes and Palladium Nanoparticles as Tunable Electrocatalysts for Diozygen Reduction
Layer-by-layer (LbL) assembly is one of the most powerful approaches for the integration of nanoscale building blocks with determined and well-defined architectures. Multilayers containing various functionalities in a pre-designed and vertical order could be stepwise constructed on planar solid substrates by LbL with controlled internal organization, thickness, and molecular structure. Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are considered to be promising materials for nanoscience and nanotechnology because of their high-surface-area, good mechanical strength and rich electronic properties.
