Studies on Metal Complezes of 2, 2, 6, 6-Tetranitro-4, 4-Biphenyl Dicarbozylic Acid

Synthesis, characterization and thermal studies of copper, cadmium and lead complexes of TNBPDC (TNBPDC=2, 2, 6, 6-tetranitro-4, 4-biphenyl dicarboxylic acid) have been carried out. Differential Scanning Calorimetry analysis data show that Cu2+, Cd2+ and Pb2+ complexes are stable up to 281, 342 and 323 ℃ respectively and then decompose exothermically. At the same time, the explosive properties of the title compounds were studied.
