Impact of Financial Crisis on Cotton Production in China and Countermeasures for Development
Since China joined WTO, Chinese textile industry has given full play to its comparative advantages. The production potential has been massively released, export of textile products has kept a continual growth and cotton demand has increased rapidly, promoting the steady development of cotton production in China. However, since 2008, due to the impact of international financial crisis, with textile products being low and cotton market being depressed, the cotton production has observed again the situation of declining. Now, stabilization of cotton production is one of our important tasks.
