Genetic Diversity of Tartary Buckwheat(Fagopyrum Tataricum L. Gaerth)Landraces from Tibet

Tibet is one of the origins of tartary buckwheat(Fagopyrum tataricum L. Gaerth),and understanding the genetic diversity of tartary landraces from Tibet will benefit the application of those genetic resources in tartary buckwheat improvement.PCR with intron-splice junction primers and long random primers were used to reveal the genetic diversity among 43 tartary buckwheat accessions from Tibet. The results showed that 79 PCR bands in total were amplified using 7 primers, among those 61 PCR bands were polymorphic and accounts for 77.2%.A1,0data matrix was established based on the PCR data, the genetic similarity coefficients between every two accessions were calculated and subjected to conduct cluster analysis using NTSYSpc 2.1. There genetic diversity Was observed among those tartary landraces with genetic similarity coefficient ranged in 0.59-0.93,but in general, the genetic diversity was limited. The clusters revealed could reflect the origin of those landraces, and there were obvious differences between those clusters in the major agronomic characters, such as growth days, plant height, branches in the main stem, nodes in the main stem,1000 kernels weight.
