Study on the Corn Harvester Snapping Unit
The snapping unit is the major equipment of the corn harvester and it plays a decisive role in the harvesting performance. By working principle can be divided into horizontal snapping roll unit,vertical snapping roll unit, the picking board and ejector roller unit, and in accordance with its principles similarities, calling them as Roll harvest. Based on the theoretical analysis of the principles,using figures to illustrate them, the article shows respective advantages and disadvantages. Meanwhile,retrograde snapping and parallel feeding , the two new design principles that are put forward. If these new principles were applied for the corn harvester, it would initiate a revolution on the harvester design.
