Study on Synthesis of Sodium Trithiocarbonate with Ionic Liquids
Ionic liquid is a kind of template reagent and phase transfer catalyst for functional material preparation. CS2 and Na2S are immiscible, which may lower the reaction rate by interphase. Experiments were carried out to study the yield of Na2CS3 with ionic liquid as phase transfer catalyst. Results showed that both BMImBF4 and C6MImBF4 can promote the yield of Na2CS3. The yield of Na2CS3 was 96% with 2mL BMImBF4 at 40℃, while microwave irradiation will inhibit the reaction with ionic liquid. A low concentration of ionic liquid in the reactant, the ionic and molecular phases coexist, leading to complex yield trend of Na2CS3.
