Removal of Arsenic in wastewater from natural gas wells by Hollow fiber supported liquid membrane
This research was focused on the extraction and recovery of arsenic ion from water produced from petroleum oils process by using a hollow fiber supported liquid membrane. The factors affect the extraction such as concentrations of liquid membrane TOA and Aliquat336, the concentration of sodium hydroxide in the stripping solutions, the number of runs through hollow fiber module and recovery stripping solution with the number of runs through hollow fiber module. The result was indicated that the both percent recovery and extraction of arsenic ion increased with increasing NaOH concentration in solution stripping and increasing of liquid membrane. In addition, when operate 3 loops into module produced extraction and stripping arsenic ion 90.6 % and 72.3 %, respectively.
