Simulation on flow behaviors of viscoelastic polymer solution in a channel with sudden contraction
In this paper, a Modified Upper-Convected Maxwell (MUCM) is presented. The steady flow mathematical model of MUCM fluids is established. The flow characteristics of viscoelastic fluids in a sudden contraction are simulated numerically. The contours of stream function and velocity are drawn. The various regularities, corresponding to the change in visco-elastic properties and power law exponent of the fluid, are studied.
