Research on the BIM-Based Lean Construction Application Mode Dominated by Owne
The high degree of integration of Building Information Modeling(BIM)and lean construction(LC)is of great importance to the reform of construction industry.The existing researches mostly focus on the adoption of BIM or LC,and limited case studies have reported on the integration of BIM and LC in complex projects that dominated by owners.Therefore,the research aims to propose a BIM-based LC application mode dominated by owner.The related BIM uses and LC management of one airport project were analyzed based on a case study approach.Subsequently,some analyses were conducted on the technical implementation and organization,as well as the benefits of this application mode.The results show that the integration of BIM and LC driven by owner improves the management methods and technologies applying.The research presented can provide insightful references for the future adoption and use of the state-of-the-art in other complex projects.
