Preparation of Fe-Si-Al-Ni Soft Magnetic Composites with Excellent High-Frequency Properties

  Fe-Si-Al-Ni powders were firstly prepared into soft magnetic composites(SMCs)by gas atomization,surface oxidation and subsequent compaction.The morphology,phase composition,and magnetic properties of the Fe-Si-Al-Ni powders and their high-frequency performance as SMCs were investigated.Effects of high-temperature annealing on the magnetic oxide coating and the magnetic properties of the SMCs have also been revealed.The Fe-Si-Al-Ni powders,with saturation magnetization(Ms)of 137.19 emu/g,were milled down to particle sizes ranging from 20μm to 150 μm.Evolution of the high-frequency properties for the Fe-Si-Al-Ni SMCs with the annealing temperature was studied.Consequently,the resistivity of the Fe-Si-Al-Ni SMCs increases with the annealing temperature,which is beneficial to decrease the eddy current loss for enhanced magnetic performance.
