The Present Status and Trends of Radially Oriented NdFeB Integrated Ring Magnets
Radially oriented NdFeB integrated ring,which is one kind of permanent magnets with special magnetic orientation,is magnetized such that their outer surface is of one polarity and their inner surface is of opposite polarity pole.Such magnet can make its assembly technology simple and can also eliminate non-uniformity of the magnetic fields on the surface of the segment-ring magnet which is spliced by a series of parallel magnetized arc segments.There are numerous applications for the radially oriented NdFeB integrated ring magnets in devices such as brushless DC motor,gyroscope,magnetic sensor,linear actuators,and latching devices.This paper discusses the classifications,preparation technologies,magnetic properties and application fields of the radially oriented NdFeB integrated rings.It points out some problems and shortcomings existing in the research process and summarizes the current state of the research and the development tendency of the magnet rings.At the end of the paper,some views on the prospects of the radially oriented NdFeB integrated rings are further suggested.
