Advanced Spherical Powders of NiAl-based Alloys and Their Application in Additive Technologies
Three hybrid technological routes for synthesis of advanced powders based on NiAl for additive techniques were proposed.First route includes:(1)centrifugal SHS casting of a semi-product using oxide raw material;(2)vacuum induction remelting(VIR)of semi-product with structure modification and electrode molding;(3)plasma rotation electrode process(PREP)and spherical powders classification.Second route includes:(1)elemental combustion synthesis and powder production;(2)particles treatment in discharge plasma for spherical morphology obtaining.Third route includes:(1)powder production by reduction by calcium hydride method;(2)particles treatment in discharge plasma for spherical morphology obtaining.Advanced multicomponent NiAl based alloy with the allowable impurity content, high strength with partial plastic deformation at the room temperature was developed.Evolution of the microstructure isothermally exposed has been studied by in-situ HRTEM.High-temperature strength and creep resistance were investigated with Gleeble 3800 testing system using a Pocket Jaw module and a DIL 805 A/D quench and deformation dilatometer. The heritage of hierarchical structures has been observed even in ingot after VIR,spherical powders, and in dense materials manufacturing with selective laser melting(SLM)and hot isostatic pressing(HIP)technologies.
