Microstructure Analysis of Fe-base ODS Steel
Precipitate features, such as the size, morphology, and distribution, have are important effect on determining the mechanical properties of precipitate-hardened alloys at elevated temperatures. In this study,The microstructural formation and evolution of Fe-base ODS steel were investigated using transmission-electron microscopy(TEM)and scanning-electron microscopy(SEM).The steel was designed with the composition of Fe-21.5Ni-12.5Al-10Cr-3.4Mo-1Ti-0.3Y2O3(wt.%).These alloys solution-treated at 1100℃ for 30 min, followed by water quenching and aging at 550℃ for 2h.NiAl precipitates′ morphology are cuboids, maintain a coherent or semi-coherent structure with the matrix.there are a lot of fine dispersed oxide precipitates in the matrix, whose particles size is nearly 10-20 nm.
