Research on the Water-atomized Iron Powder Production Line of 200000 tons per Annual of Ansteel(Anshan)Metallurgical Powder Materials Co.,Ltd.
A new water-atomized iron powder production line of 200000 tons per annual was designed,construct and installed by Ansteel(Anshan)metallurgical powder materials Co.,Ltd.The characteristics of this production line are:(1)The raw material are molten iron and quality scrap,and the proportion of molten iron is over 50%;(2)The smelting model consist of 75 tons Consteel furnace and 120 tons LF refining furnace;(3)In the process of atomization,the two-channel anti-splash nozzles are used at the same time,and the whole atomizing system also has the function of nitrogen protection and vacuum negative protection.Once more,the atomizing efficiency has been achieved to 700-800kg/min,which is now the largest in the world.By comparing the various performance indicators of iron powder which is produced by different water-atomized production line,the results show that the powder produced by the new water-atomized production line is better than that of the original production line.For instance,the iron content is increased by 0.2%,and the impact toughness and strength values are increased nearly 5%.
