Advantages of Hot Isostatic Pressing on the Manufacturing of Key Parts with Long Life and High Reliability
With the increasing demand for key parts with long life and high reliability in aerospace,marine and high-end civil fields,the manufacturing has been a critical problem.Hot isostatic pressing(HIP)technology has the advantage of isotropy under high temperature and high pressure condition and is an advanced process for the development and production of powder metallurgy and new materials.In this paper,we discuss the causes and mechanisms of defects in the mainstream process(such as additive manufacturing,casting,and so on)and advantages of HIP on eliminating the above defects,which provides technical support for the combination of HIP and other manufacturing process and equipment support for the production of key parts with long life and high reliability.
