Effect of Cold Processing on the Properties of Molybdenum-Rhenium Foils
For electronic application,Mo-Re alloy foils need have isotropy properties to warp or to deep draw.In this lecture,we studied different cold processes followed by heat treatments of Mo-35Re alloy foils to get the preferred deformation processes to achieve isotropy.Through metallographic examination and mechanical property tests and bend tests,we find cross rolling can improve the bend properties of Mo-Re foils,we also find that change the deformation rates of cross rolling can result better.Further,we find partial recrystallization and recrystallization annealing have different effect on mechanical properties.Partial recrystallization annealing can get better mechanical properties and isotropy. So cross rolling and partial recrystallization annealing can be used to improve the cupping properties of materials.
