On Management and Control of Large-Scale Square Event Evacuation
In this paper, features of stampedes occurring in large-scale square events are studied by applying social force model.This model is modified to adapt to the square environment through considering the pedestrians space requirement, speed, acceleration, and direction of motion.On this basis, the interaction forces exerted on people in large-scale square events are explored; they mainly include psychological force, physical force, repulsive effect among people, and attractive effect of friends and events.Then, the three stages of the square events are studied.Finally, some measures are proposed for the management and control of large-scale square event based on the research, hoping to provide references for the management and control of various large-scale square events.
