Analysis of Temporal and Spatial Structure of the Ironmaking-Steelmaking Interface and Its Effect on the Desulfurization Rate
The ironmaking-steelmaking interface is a critical step which greatly influences the hot metal temperature at the hot metal pretreatment station. Moreover,it is noted that the result of the hot metal pretreatment is intimately linked to this temperature. In this paper,in an effort to figure out the correspondence among the plane layout, hot metal temperature and the desulfurization rate, the relationship between the hot metal desulfurization rate and the temporal and spatial structure at the ironmaking-steelmaking interface was theoretically analyzed. In addition, the obtained analysis results were verified via the actual field study. It was found that the improvement of the desulfurization efficiency was not only related to the optimization of the process parameters for every single unit procedure, but more importantly the optimization of the entire process. Therefore, the introduction of the process engineering into the ironmaking and steelmaking was quite helpful for the increase of the production efficiency.
