Analysis on changes of temperature and frost heaving damage in fractured rock under the low temperature condition
In cold region of China western, water in the surface cracks of the fractured rock would congeal caused by the low temperature conditions, and the volume expansion caused by water-ice phase transition would provide the frost heaving force. While during the melting process, the temperature changed occur reverse and the frost heave force gradually dissipated.Because the complex problem includes temperature change, seepage and stress field, the report that by through the perspective of analysis and calculation on basic theory, study on the changes of temperature field and frost heaving force in fractured rock mass is so rare.Depending on the freezing phenomenon of hard rock with surface crack, and according to the theory of heat transfer, phase transition and elastic-plastic mechanics. This paper applies the evolution process of temperature field and frost heaving load in fractured rock. And then the program Comsol Multiphysics is used to analysis of the uneven effect of temperature and frost heave damage due to the fissure existing;Comparison results show that the analytical expressions of the temperature and the frost heaving load have a good similar as numerical simulation, it can be suitable for the evolution analysis of temperature field and froze stress field on the semi-infinite plate model containing surface cracks.
