Aerodynamic Characteristics and Flight Capability Prediction of the Small-scale Flight Experiment Vehicle Being Developed at Muroran Institute of Technology, Japan
In order to research next-generation high-speed transportation technologies,Muroran Institute of Technology is developing a small-scale supersonic flight experiment vehicle(OWASHI the 2nd).Its aerodynamic characteristics are analyzed by wind tunnel tests and three-degree-and six-degree-of-freedom trajectory analysis predicts its flight capability.This paper describes the methods and results of the aerodynamic characterization and flight capability of OWASHI the 2nd.
