Coherence Mapping of Unsteady Pressure Fields on 2-Dimensional Wings Using Unsteady Pressure-Sensitive Paint Technique
Coherence and its length of unsteady flow fields are an important information to investigate aeroacoustic flow fields.Unsteady Pressure-Sensitive Paint(PSP)measurement is an optical pressure measurement technique. It can acquire global unsteady pressure distribution including coherence map on a test model. It was applied to investigate coherence distribution on two 2-dimensional models, which were the NACA0012 and the NASA 30P30N models. For the NACA0012 test, unsteady PSP measurement was applied to the unsteady flow field of the trailing-edge noise on the model.Unsteady power spectrum density of Cp and coherence maps were reduced in three angle of attack cases, which were ?α=-1.5°,-2.5°,and-4° in U=28m/s flow. For the NASA 30P30N model test, unsteady PSP measurement was applied to its slat cove to investigate the coherence distribution of the aeroacoustic flow field in U=58m/s flow.It had spectral components of the specific narrow-band peaks(NBPs)and broadband.Unsteady PSP measurement was conducted in an angle of attack case of α=0°.The coherence distribution measured by the unsteady PSP measurement were also compared with that of Kulite unsteady pressure transducers.
