The Architecture and Energy Saving Technologies of Green Relay Enhanced Wireless Network

  communication,more and more wireless network devices are deployed and the energy consumption is become a significant concern for network infrastructure.Therefore,how to reduce the energy consumption for data transmission becomes one of the most important design considerations for future wireless networks.However,while the energy saving technologies and strategies for wireless networks have been extensively studied,little attention has been paid to the utilization of renewable energy.In this paper,the architecture of green relay enhanced wireless network is proposed to enable green communication via adopting base stations or relays powered by renewable energy.Some feasible technologies and research issues of green relay enhanced wireless network are investigated to reduce the non-renewable energy consumption and increase the utilization ratio of renewable energy,such as green-energy aware base station cooperation and dynamic load adjustment.
