Empirical Study on Trust among Chinese Food Safety Regulators--19 Food Production and Marketing Enterprises and 63 Consumers as Subjects

  Food safety relates to millions of households.The government, market and the public become three main food safety supervisions.The consciousnesses and degrees of trusts between them are the important factors of restricting regulation performance.Based on the survey on the 19 food production and marketing enterprises and 63 consumers, this paper analyzes the degrees and consciousnesses of trust between the main bodies of food safety supervision.The results show that, in the food safety regulatory, the degree of trust between the government and market is both equal.The level of distrust between the parties is slightly higher than the level of trust.The degree of trust between the market and the public is both different.The degree of trust of the market in the public is significantly higher than that of the public in the market.The degree of trust between the government and the public is different.The degree of trust of the government in the public is much higher than that of the public in the government.The degree of distrust the public in the government is slightly lower than that of the government in the public.
