The Reform on Mechanisms for Global Governance in the Context of the Financial Crisis:A Prospective Analysis on Establishing New Mechanisms and Restructuring Existing Mechanisms
The global financial crisis prompted global governance to enter a new stage, which gave impetus to the reform of mechanisms for global governance.Based on the analyses on the need for the reform of mechanisms for global governance, this paper argues that there are two arising trends in the reform of mechanisms for global governance after the financial crisis. One is to establish new mechanisms by integrating formal mechanisms with informal mechanisms. The other is to reform the existing mechanisms, which focus on the reform of decision-making authority and accountability. Finally, the article proposes that China should grasp this opportunity by taking positive actions and make full use of United Nations and G20 for the purpose of pushing forward the reform of mechanisms for global governance in favor of the developing countries in the context of the reform of mechanisms for global governance.
