On Innovation of Local Colleges Management Mode-A Case Study in Chinese Western Guangdong Colleges

　　Teaching, research and social service are the three major functions of university.For local colleges, the functions and educational goals are different from those of research-oriented universities.They tend to cultivate the students into talents who have great practical ability and can promote the local economic and cultural development.Against the background of expansion of colleges, local colleges are faced with more new challenges.This paper explores the development measures for them from three perspectives, namely teaching management, scientific research management, and practical ability with three specific measures.Firstly, they should promote teaching and practice activities to equip students with both basic knowledge and skills and applicable practical abilities.Secondly, they should develop the research management model of cooperation and innovation by combining research with local social organizations.Thirdly, the evaluation of social services management should put emphasis on promotion of local economical and cultural development.
