Research on Chinese Moss Economy and Its Relating Public Policy
The moss economy refers to the economic activities conducted by peddlers and individual labors featuring low exchange price in China. It has a long history and is also an embodiment of Chinese peoples industry.Though once on the brink of disappearing, it has enjoyed a boom since the Chinese economy reform in 1978 and has become an important way to absorb marginal labor force.Whats more, the moss economy can meet the average employees need of inexpensive living and even lower their living expense. However, nowadays, with its advantages not fully recognized, it also faces an obvious dilemma of not being paid enough attention by the political publicity while under a harsh treatment from the local City Management Bureau. The causes of such dilemma can be analyzed from the part of the labors and the part of the government management. And this dilemma is in urgent need of being solved. Therefore, Chinese government needs to formulate and issue the corresponding public policy on both the central and local level and learn from the developed countries in order to set a clear public policy regarding the moss economy within the shortest time possible.
