Mechanism investigation of gas porosity induced fatigue damage on the fusion welded high strength aluminum alloy
For the welded aluminum alloy car body stucture of high-speed train, the primary internal reason to deteriorate the fatigue performance is the gas porosity from both metallurgical and technological aspect, which seriously threatens the driving safety every minute and every moment. Since the late 1950s, many scientists and engineers have made the significant progress in the relationship between the source, size, amount, morphology, position and spatial distribution of gas porosity and the resulting fatigue properties of fusion welded joints.
