Characterization of Optical Nano-Antenna with Wider Resonant Areas

  A surface plasmonic optical nano-antenna with high performance is presented,and its resonant properties are investigated with finite integral technology.There are two resonant areas at different resonant frequencies,which are separately 270THz in the middle gap and 390 THz in the side gap,and their resonant factors are about 700,that is about18 times higher than that of the common dipole antenna.At the first resonant area,the resonance field is confined to the central part from z=10nm to z= 25nm along x axis direction,this wider resonant area maybe be useful.When a glass substrate with refraction index n=1.5 is used,the resonant factor is up to 800,while the resonant center frequencies are almost not changed.The structure presented may have some potential applications in high-quality optical antenna,solar cells,biosensor.
