The Administrative Ethical Examination of Dilemmas in Chinas Old City Reconstruction
In China, along with the promotion of urbanization, old city reconstruction has been increased in recent years. However, local government departments and its staff are in a dilemma due to the poor selfdisciplines and imperfect supervisory systems, which making the old city reconstruction cannot be carried out smoothly. How to ensure the administrative departments and its staff fulfill their duties is not only related to the establishment of governments own image but also the value of governments existence—serving the society or the citizens. Therefore, this article intends to make an ethical analysis of the internal and external causes of dilemmas in Chinas old city reconstruction, and to find possible solutions from the aspects of internal control and external controls.
