The Onlookers Behaviors in New Media and Its Corresponding Government Policies
The word onlooking in 2010 is more than what it literally means. The evolution of internet age gives it a new look and significance of existence. Consequently, it is not only a kind of social attention; it also becomes a popular internet behavior, a new way of venting and an effective supervision by public opinion. Though different onlooker cases are of different media types, their internet influences put Chinese society under a brand new test, especially for Chinese government. On one hand, onlooker behavior brings forth another anticorrosion watchdog while on the other hand, the government has to supervise the network violence that was trigged by the network onlookers behaviors. Therefore, government management in the age of internet asks for a long-term cooperation and supervision among public, media and the government.
