The use of new types of large and middle size vacuum batch furnaces for the heat treatment of moulds and dies

Vacuum heat treating of moulds and dies under demands of optimized part properties and less distortion is one of the most important goals in vacuum furnace technology actually. Due to optimized cooling conditions grain boundary precipitation leading to shorter die life can be avoided.This presentation describes the vacuum heat treating of moulds and dies in the Ipsen newly developed Turbo2Treater? and SuperTurbo? vacuum furnace under different nitrogen gas quenching conditions.
