State of the Art High-Pressure Gas Quenching
An in-depth analysis of quenching options is crucial in deciding which process most fits a projects needs. This paper examines the differences between liquid and gas quenching when achieving the necessary heat treatment process requirements, and touches on the overall benefits that gas quenching provides over liquid quenching in terms of preventing distortion and providing a more sustainable and safe process. The major point of comparison made in this paper is between the quench rates for oil and gas quenching.
