Role of annealing treatment on the mechanical properties of ultrafine-grained Cu-Ge alloy
Ultrafine-grained Cu-0.1at.%Ge alloy was processed by heavily rolling at the liquid nitrogen temperature and then subjected to annealing at 150 ℃ for 1 h. The microhardness and tensile behavior of ultrafine-grained Cu-Ge alloy were studied before and after annealing respectively. It has been found that the microhardness and strength are improved while the uniform elongation decreases by low temperature annealing. The effect of annealing treatment on the microstructure and mechanical properties of ultrafine-grained copper alloy is briefly discussed in this paper.
