Nb Effects on the dynamic recrystallization behavior and mechanical properties of V/Ti alloyed non-quenching and tempering steel

Microalloyed technology is developed on the basis of the microalloy steel. It is a kind of special steel which cancels the process of quenching and tempering treatment and the mechanical properties can reach or approach to the required properties after rolling through adding a small amount of alloy elements in mediμm-carbon steel, controlled rolling and controlled cooling process. So that, it has the following advantages such as reducing the energy consμmption, omitting the straightening process, shortening the production cycle, and improving the utilization ratio and quality of the material. With the broad introduction of V series microalloyed forging steel safety of steel by increasing the carbon content became practically prohibitive in view of carbons detrimental effect on toughness of non-quenching-tempering steels and on low impact toughness. So we add Nb in the V series microalloyed forging steel, expect to achieve high toughness and high strength, improve the V series microalloyed forging steel safety. Compare V/Ti steel and Nb-V/Ti steel in the mechanical properties of Controlled recrystallization forging and controlling cooling process (CFCC-process). finally, successfully research and develop the V series microalloyed forging steel with low consμmption and high performance quality to meet the different industry needs.
