Evaluation of Nanomodificators Distribution for Cast Iron Improvement
Nanomodification is a modern high-efficiency method of production of high-quality casts with specific properties, due to increase of dispersiveness and uniformity of cast structure. Necessary structure and properties of alloys are reached by modification, including by modification with use of nanopowders. Improving the quality of iron-carbon alloys based on nanomodification may be based on the use of hybrid process metallothermy, for example, alμminothermy and self-propagating high temperature synthesis. This paper shows the possibility of improving the structure and properties of cast iron with using the alμminothermy.
