Theory and Practice of Thermo-Hydraulic Modeling
The paper presents a historical resume of the IWHRs study on physical modeling of circulated heated water effluened from thermal/nuclear power plants. General features of thermo-hydraulic simulation of such cooling water circulation and treatment of the related scaling contradictions are briefly described. More complicated modeling with consideration of simulating windy, icing, waving, saltwater intrusting environment of the concerned water region are demonstrated in some detail. Emphasis is put on the understanding of some planning philosophy and its practical application. The methodogy to approach the problems encountered in modeling is illustrated by the relevant case study.
