A predator-prey model with infection in the prey

In this paper, a predator-prey model with disease spreads in the prey is formulated, where it is assumed that the disease can be transmitted in both the horizontal and vertical ways. The existence and the local stability of the equilibria for two cases are discussed. By constructing the lyapunov function and using the second additive compound matrix, the sufficient and necessary conditions of the global stability of the disease-free equilibria and the sufficient condition of the global stability of the endemic equilibrium are obtained.
