Morphology-based palmprint image preprocessing
A palmprint image preprocessing algorithm based on mathematical morphology is proposed. Firstly, some erosions are adopted to the binary image. Secondly, the centroid coordinates of the eroded image are calculated, which are the coordinates of the mass center of the palm effective area. Finally, according to the erosion template size and the maximum erosion number, the radius of the effect range is calculated. The rectangle and the circular effective range can be split from the original palmprint image by the mass center and the radius.
