A Research on Cost Savings and Benefits Distribution of Fourth Party Logistics
In order to integrate the resources of supply chain more effectively, fourth party logistics (4PL) must be independent of third party logistics (3PL). Based on this premise and the operation modes of 4PL, this paper develops a cost and benefit model of logistics system, applies practical data to evaluate the benefit of 4PL, studies the cost savings and benefit improvement which 4PL yielded, and finally puts forward two kinds of benefit distribution modes and ratio range in the case of 4PL as a profit or non-profit one.
