Analysis of LTO3 Magnetic Heads

摘要：

LTO tape driver is used for data storage in server, LTO3 is the third generation. The magnetic heads of LTO3 are anisotropic magnetoresistive (AMR) heads. Key parameters are optimized in the design of the LTO3 magnetic heads, such as the parameters of MR(NiFe), SAL(CoZrMo), and shields. The key function parameters, such as raw Read error rate and Viterbi distance(VD), are analyzed, the performance of AMR magnetic heads meets design expectation.
